MediaStudio : Un système d’édition et de présentation de documents multimédia interactifs

In the actual standards and multimedia systems, the documents are often written in an event based approach which makes the programming techniques not adapted to the incremental edition process. The documents maintenance has become very hard and very expensive and the construction of such documents is not adapted to the non-computer scientist users. Moreover, works done in this field have mainly focused on the temporal dimension while the development of such systems should consider all the multimedia document dimensions (temporal, spatial, structural and hypermedia) to mutualize their conception and implementation. Furthermore, the documents adaptation to particular users reading profiles is not considered whereas for some application fields, like learning, this remains an important need. On the basis of those observations, MediaStudio will try to be a contribution to the field of editing and presenting interactive multimedia documents through a set of propositions to compensate the mentioned insufficiencies.
